This year, Camden Inspire is being held in collaboration with the Camden Green Loop; a strategy for building a sustainable neighbourhood with community led design.

We will still be celebrating Camden Town’s magical arts scene, but through an environmental lens. This is a festival of ideas around how we live, what we value and how we can shape a bright, shared future.

Why the Change?

Camden is changing. As the borough embraces pedestrianisation and a shift to net zero policies, it was the right time to use Inspire’s platform to celebrate the potential of art in meeting our climate change challenges. So we’ve scaled back production, paused the live music stages and the market, instead creating space for meaningful conversations, new ideas, creating and learning.

At the heart of this year’s festival is UnBroken — an ambitious upcycling project where leading designers will transform discarded chairs into unique, functional works of art. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be exhibited and auctioned alongside public workshops that share the skills and thinking behind circular design.
